Sunset in SF

It was taken in San Francisco Bay. The sunset on the foggy atmosphere created such a mood. Telescope lens can make subject in focus and the picture says by itself.

Snowy Road

It was May in the Mountain Road. My brother was so excited to see snow the first/last time in his life. He ran into kneel-deep snow and showed a unforgettable big smile. He liked that trip, I believe. He passed away when he was 31, 3 years after this trip with me. We are lucky to have modern tools to memorize the past.

Grand Teton

Section National Parks in USA
The blue polarizer filter was used to form this shot. It was inMay, but the snow on the mountain was still attractive. It's a National Park at the south of Yellow Stone. I did some hiking with my brother, and we enjoyed of taking photos in wilderness.

Art Institute in Chicago

It's a nice place to visit if you enjoyed the Impressionism Arts. I used a very small tripods on the museum floor, and trying to capture the light and sculptures. It's memorable. Wandering in Museum is a lovely thing ina busy life. Hope you take time out to visit your local musem, too.

290 & 90 Highway Junction

This is a shot taken from Sears Tower. A highway junction of 290 & 90. UIC building is standing tall on the west residential area. This is a busy city I loved. I stayed in Berwyn for 5 years after the first semester in IIT boarding. My landlords are nice senior/retired couple, and I wish to visit them again soon.
My favorite place in Chicago area is Frank Lloyd Wright's Home & Studio in Oak Park. Please visit virtually to www.wrightplus.org

Lotus in a Zoo

It was a lovely pond in Brooksfiled Zoo of Chicago in 1994 summer. The Narrow depth-of-field helps focus on the white lotus alone. When you're in a good mood, everythig turns to be memorable and enjoyful. My favorite lens is Canon 135-mm 2.8 lens with a built-in Soft Adjustment, good for portraits and dream-like moods.

Just Before '95 Christmas

It was taken just before I finished my school and left Chicago. I flew back to Taiwan from New York. The high rise is John-Hancock Center with a gorgeous lounge bar on 96-floor. The weather is too cold to carry metal tripods with bare hands, but it was fun to say good-bye to the city.

The improvement of camera technology makes the Double-Exposure much more easier and friendlier.

City Dusk

Looking east toward the Lake Michigan, another Chicago shot around 1994. The Citibank building looks like a fountain pen utilizes Solar Cell for energy saving. The roof angle is designed to accept the most of year-round sunshine in this sopt. Oil company building composed its office light during special occasions, like the Bulls' NBA championship runs or Christmas seasons.

It's a city of circled by four seasons variation without the earthquake.

Hotel for Reservation

I am always fascinated by Chicago Architecture and Civil Planning. It's too windy though. I forgot this hotel name, but the twin towers are in this dusk picture taken from the top floor of Sears Tower. When I was tired of traffic jam after school during the rush hours, I sometimes pick a pizza and drive to shore of Lake Michigan near the observatory (now the route is closed, I heard). Watching the sunset behind the building lines, and the street lights and stars were lit in no hurry.

Baha'i Temple

Chapter 1990
I love the richness of slides. I studied some photographing books and chose Fujichrome as the main choice. Its ISO 50 can give the best grains with the penalty of needing tripods under most of occasions. Now, share my memories with you all.
Section Chicago
This was taken in front of Baha'i Temple near Northwestern University. The thin clouds floated above in no time. This was the only shot I took, and fortunately the polarizer filter was on. There are total of 7 grand Baha'i Temples around the world. An ultimate dream of unification of all religions. I guess they also takes an atheist like me.

Welcome

Prologue
I always waste/spend some portion of my life on various Arts so far. I enjoy the lonliness during the creation/process. Different periods of life, I indulged myself in different hobbies. My dad showed me how to operate the camera when I was a kid, and I love the technology of recording people into a still life. I was not a student from Art School, but I could not help but lingering/practicing the skill of making Arts. Thank heaven that I am blessed to have this kind of gift/talent, but only hard works can move us to the next level. I am happy to share my hobbies with you all on the internet. Life is about human and nature, and you all are nature.
